Open: Both shelters are open 7
days a week, every day of the year.
Persons interested in shelter should call between 3 pm and 9:30 pm
Eligibility: Men and women who
need a place to stay and are ages 17 to 35 and are able and willing
to work.

Referral: People needing shelter
should call the men’s or women’s shelter directly.

Directions:
Open Door, 414 Ranney. Take Westnedge south
out of downtown. Ranney St. is 1st street after the light at Westnedge
and Vine. Go left. Open Door is second house from the end of the block
on the left. Large yellow duplex.
Next Door, 1215 W. North St. Take North St. west out of downtown.
After light at Douglas and North go 1 and ½ blocks. Next Door is
blue-gray duplex on left.

Services Offered Shelter, food, and
personal mentoring for becoming self-supporting. Structured environment,
small shelters: room for 6 people at each shelter. Use of phone,
computer with internet access, kitchen to prepare one’s own food, weight
room at men’s shelter, and bicycles. Bus tokens free to guests who are
looking for work.
More info We are a Christian
community of hospitality but we do not require any religious affiliation
or observances (except for prayer before a weekly family- style meal).
We want to serve people of all faiths and religions and people without
any formal religion.
Live-in staff - reside in other side
of duplex.
Structure:
Curfew at 9:30 pm unless working.
No use of alcohol and drugs.
Must find work providing 35 hours of work per week.
Must report all pay and prepare a budget with staff.
Must save 30% of all earnings for future housing.
Each guest does one chore per day to keep the house in good order.
Persons with drug or alcohol problems are welcome.
Persons with criminal records welcome.
Gay and lesbian persons are welcome.
