Financial support for the Open Door & Next Door is down from last year about 8%, while costs are up and the need is greater than ever.  Through July $85,451 has been contributed.  Thanks to all of you have helped so far  this year.  For the rest of the year $112,880 is still needed.  The current economic situation has made it more difficult for some to make a donation  this year and others have needed to reduce their annual gift. 

 

Gifts to Open Door and Next Door Shelters are tax deductible and  Michigan taxpayers receive 50% of their gift back as an income tax credit  for gifts up to $200 for individuals and $400 for couples.

NEXT DOOR NEEDS: Bicycles, chairs for dinner table, VCR, towels, twin-size bedspreads.

OPEN DOOR NEEDS: Weights, weight bench, VCR or DVD player, bike  helmets, bike headlights.
